The following January a team
of volunteers from MAHS gathered at the vessel's new resting place, Rudee Inlet, about a quarter-mile from the original location.
Under the direction of MAHS Advisor and NOAA archaeologist, John Broadwater, and joined by others from NOAA and Texas A&M University,
they spent a sunny January afternoon tagging major hull components, measuring, and recording data.
