The ends of frames were clearly present at the north end, while several frames and disarticulated wood fragments, possibly from
the vessel, occurred at the south end.
Iron fasteners were the only artifacts found at the site. The lack of associated artifacts in a vessel of this size
lends support to a theory that the vessel was dismantled and left derelict in this location rather than wrecked here.
Future research in newspapers from the area may yet reveal additional information about the vessel. While the fates
of many of the Bay's ram schooners have been documented, there are some whose final resting place is not yet known.
The Cherryfield Point wreck may prove to be one of those rams.
